Pada tanggal 14 November 2009, saya berkesempatan mengikuti ceramah atas tajuk looking at health in your care oleh Dr. Norazizah Moh Taib di Pusat CARE Fakulti Perubatan, UPM. Menurut doktor, bagi pesakit-pesakit kanser, kita perlu jaga kesihatan supaya tidak dihinggapi oleh penyakit-penyakit lain.Kita jangan ingat yang kita sudah kena sakit kanser dan tidak akan mengalami sakit-sakit lain jika kita tidak jaga kesihatan.
Saya perturunkan apa yang saya dengar untuk dikongsi bersama semoga kita semua akan sentiasa sihat dan dalam rahmat allah jua.
Total Health Wellbeing
1. Untuk mendapat Total Health Wellbeing memerlukan kita seimbangkan/balance perkara berikut:
-physical/mental
-emotinal
-spiritual
-sexual
-social
-financial
2. Secret Wellness
Rahsia kesejahteraan adalah:
-Share: Berkongsi dengan kawan-kawan
-sunshine: Dapatkan sinaran matahari supaya dapat vitamin D setiap hari.
-Sleep: Kita perlu cukup tidur sekurang-kurangnya 5 jam sehari.Tidur yang cukup amat perlu untuk mengatasi sakit jantong, hypertension dan lain-lain.
-Spirits/Soul
-Sex
3. Gaya Hidup Sihat
- Sikap: Have the right attitude.Positive attitude akan merangsang immune system kita. Yakin kepada Allah akan boleh buat kita self healing.
- Pemakanan: Jaga pemakan untuk atasi serangan sakit.
- Aktiviti riadah
- Ilmu kesihatan
- Risiko penyakit:Sudah kena penyakit kanser tapi kena fikirkan penyakit-penyakit lain seperti heart disease, diabetes dan hypertension mungkin datang jika kita tidak jaga kesihatan.
4. Fitness and Health
- Aerobic exercise: Exercise untuk jaga jantong and untuk sustain heart rate.
- Cardio Protection
- Resistance Training
- Brisk WALKING: 5 times per week for 30 minutes.
- Walk 10,000 steps everyday
5. CANCER and Physical Activity
30 minutes Brisk Walking daily can:
- reduce 30% breast cancer risk
- reduce 50% colon cancer risk
- reduce heart disease, diabetes, stroke and depression.
6. Sugar and salt = White Poison
Pengambilan gula dan garam berlebihan akan mengakibatkan
Health risks seperti:
- Obesity: Managing weight is very important in order tidak dapat sakit. Any fat is cancer risk.
-Diabetes
-Hypertension
-CAD, Kidney problems
-CANCERS: Sugar promotes cancer.
-Fetal malformation
7. CANCER FACTS
a. Less than 10% cancer incidence due to genes. Can modify risk with nutrition.
b. Nutrients from ANIMAL based foods increased tumour development, while nutrients from PLANT based foods decreased tumour development. Oleh itu makanlah lebih sayur dan buah-buahan.
c. Casein(protein dalam susu) which is 87% content of cow's milk protein, promotes all stages of cancer.
d. Dietary FAT consumed daily now (>30% total calories) is closely associated with high incidence of Breast Cancer, Colon Cancer and Heart Disease.
e. Eating diet high in animal based food from young is associated with higher level of Estrogens, expands our reproductive life by about 10 years, giving us greater risk to Breast Cancer.
f. Acid environment favours cancers, while oxygen rich environment inhibits cancer growth. Alkali base environment is good for health.
g. SUGAR feeds cancers.
